It's all about the makeovers this year, so we jumped at the opportunity to team-up with www.hawaii-arukikata.com. Every year they do a makeover story where one lucky chap gets to be put under the scrutiny of our makeover team! OK, so it goes like this: PacRim Marketing's intern from Japan, Akira wants to be able to hang with the local girls in Hawaii, take her out a morning surf, impress her with his stylish dress and wine and dine her at some of the Hyatt and Pualeilani Atrium Shops' awesome restaurants. Derek Sakamoto, a local stylist turned Akira from plain old salary man, into a irresistible man. However, Akira not only needs to look the part, but needs to act it, too - this is where we adopted the help of Kentaro Matsumoto - "Japanese cool dude" a.k.a. social coach. It was all in good fun, of course!
